Notes:

[1] A Socket is the physical connection(s) on a computer system's motherboard that is designed to hold a central processing unit(s) ("CPU") regardless of the number of logical CPUs recognized by the computer system from that physical connection. Note that the socket capacity refers to the maximum number of processors that the server can be configured with, not the actual number. Consequently a server can be upgraded with additional processors with no change in subscription.

[2] Refers only to virtualization provided by the Red Hat Enterprise Linux, not third party virtualization options. For IBM POWER systems the number of LPARs that are supported is 4 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and 25 for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Platform. For VMWare based virtualization please refer to your local Red Hat sales representative.

[3] Red Hat Network Update Module, a service that provides access to an intuitive graphical interface for managing system updates and errata, priority errata email notifications, dependency checking, and optional auto-update.
